General information
Ses Milanes is an educational project rooted in a natural environment that welcomes children between 2 and 6 years old. It is based on the values of active pedagogy, respectful parenting, and connection with nature. The main activity of the project takes place outdoors, in a forest space where children can grow in direct contact with natural rhythms, exploring and learning through free play, direct experience, and group coexistence.
This project offers an educational alternative centered on deep respect for the vital processes of each child, promoting their integral development through autonomy, freedom with clear boundaries, and conscious emotional support. The role of the adult is that of observer, guide, and support, creating secure bonds and a calm, welcoming environment.
Ses Milanes stands out from other proposals due to its close daily connection with nature, which is not limited to occasional visits but constitutes the main setting for life and learning. This constant relationship with the natural environment has a very positive impact on the physical and emotional well-being of the children. Moreover, the pedagogy of respect practiced in the project allows each child to progress at their own pace, without academic impositions or external pressures, thus fostering a safe, curious, and autonomous childhood.
Although it is an alternative educational proposal, Ses Milanes is a well-established project with guaranteed continuity throughout the school year. It has a stable educational team with experience, committed to a coherent and ethical practice both pedagogically and organizationally. The project’s structure also allows for covering short-term absences without compromising the quality of support.
New members who join the team, such as volunteers, receive specific training to facilitate their integration into the daily life of the project. This training dimension, combined with a culture of collaboration and shared care, makes Ses Milanes a true educational community that is alive, coherent, and deeply respectful of children’s needs.
To continue offering a rich, safe, and coherent environment aligned with the values of sustainability and respect that drive us, we want to promote three essential improvements this summer:
- Build a new wooden shelter to protect us on stormy or very windy days and, at the same time, have a cozy space for rest,
- Renovate our dry toilet, which needs a stronger and more accessible structure,
- And create a communal clay oven to cook together, experiment, and celebrate.
We will build all of this ourselves, with our own hands, the help of local artisans, and natural materials. It will be a collective, pedagogical, and living work, as we understand education.
These infrastructures will not only improve the daily experience of the children but will also allow us to expand activities open to families and the community.
With your small contribution, we can make this dream come true. Every donation counts and brings us closer to a more welcoming, sustainable, and vibrant space. Thank you for believing in a free childhood, connected to nature and rooted in community!
Main features and goals of the crowdfunding campaign
We want to build a wooden cabin, renovate the dry toilet, and make a clay oven at Ses Milanes, a nature-based education space. We will do this with our own hands, natural materials, and local support to improve the daily life of the children and the community.
Objectives:
Dismantle the current cabin, which no longer meets minimum safety requirements
Build a new cabin designed to withstand storms and harsh weather conditions
Construct a new dry toilet to improve hygiene conditions in the forest
Build a clay oven to cook together with the children

Why this is important
The project was born out of the need to improve and care for the space where we carry out our daily educational activities. We want to ensure suitable conditions for rest, hygiene, and community life, while maintaining coherence with our pedagogical and environmental principles.
This initiative is aimed at everyone connected to Ses Milanes at different stages, the local community that uses and values this environment, as well as those who work with or support proposals for education in nature and respectful childhood practices. We share with them a common perspective on support and growth in living, sustainable, and participatory contexts.
Through this collective project, we want to continue building a space that facilitates play, coexistence, and the daily exploration of children, with resources that align with their way of being and existing in the world.
Your support sows the future—and it is tax-deductible!
Moreover, when you make a donation through platforms like this, you can recover up to 80% of your contribution on your next income tax return. Here’s how it works:
✔️ If you donate up to €250, the tax authorities will return 80% (if you reside in Spain).
✔️ For donations above €250, they return 40% of the remaining amount.

Team and experience
We are an association with over ten years of experience in the field of nature education. Since our beginnings, we have developed a living, respectful pedagogical approach based on direct experience with the environment.
We operate with an assembly-based, horizontal model, where decisions are made collectively and the involvement of families and caregivers is a fundamental part of the project. We handle all management, internal organization, and space maintenance tasks ourselves.
Our team has experience in early childhood education, active pedagogies, natural building, and community management. We have a stable space in a cared-for natural environment, with the basic infrastructure necessary for the daily development of our activities.
Our way of working is based on self-management, cooperation, and connection with the territory. This improvement proposal arises precisely from that logic: to create, care for, and transform the space with our own hands and with the support of those who share our vision of childhood and community.

Social commitment

Educational
Our project has a strong social commitment linked to childhood, environmental sustainability, and community life. We advocate for education rooted in the territory, respecting the rhythms and needs of children, and promoting models of coexistence based on mutual care, participation, and respect for the environment.
The improvements we aim to carry out — a wooden cabin, the renovation of the dry toilet, and the construction of a clay oven — reinforce this vision: these infrastructures respond to real everyday needs, built through self-management, using natural materials and ecological criteria.
This project directly contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
SDG 4: Quality Education, by creating a safer, more welcoming environment consistent with respectful and active pedagogies.
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, by strengthening a local educational network based on participation and community management.
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, through the use of natural materials, traditional construction techniques, and a focus on reuse and self-sufficiency.
SDG 13: Climate Action, by reducing the project’s ecological footprint through low-impact construction solutions and fostering environmental awareness from childhood.
SDG 15: Life on Land, by integrating into a natural environment that we actively care for, promoting respectful practices toward the forest, soil, and biodiversity.
From this perspective, we understand education as a tool for social, ecological, and community transformation.
