Development, Production, and Post-Production Costs and taxes
Before ‘Renovables Forzosas’ hits the screens, there is a long process of research, creation and development.
(15% - €1,200) Script development: Transforming all the information gathered into a coherent and exciting narrative, capable of connecting with the audience and conveying the message in a clear and concise way. (The rest has already been partly financed with own funds)
(10% - €800) Acquisition of copyright: Obtaining the necessary permissions to use archive images, music and other copyrighted materials.
(15% - €1200) Pre-production development: Preparation of the technical script, selection of the film crew, location scouting, preparation of technical equipment, etc.
(20% - €1600) Filming and production costs: Although we are a small team, the shooting schedule has been carried out with great flexibility in order to reduce costs as much as possible. (The rest has already been financed with our own funds)
(20% - €1600) Post-production and sound improvements: The best way to reach a large audience is to meet the quality standards required by most channels and platforms.
(20% - €1600) Tax payment to the Treasury after payment of the platform commissions.
These processes are essential to guarantee the quality and rigour of the documentary. Your support will allow us to carry out the initial production phase and lay the foundations for a high-impact project.

Insurance and Distribution Costs
To guarantee the highest quality and protect our work, we need your support. The additional funds we are requesting will enable us to cover the legal and insurance costs necessary to carry out this documentary film project with a social conscience.
Legal Expenses and Insurance: (50% - €5,000): Essential for safe exhibition.
Legal advice is fundamental for navigating the complex audiovisual world and guaranteeing compliance with all regulations. We need experts to advise us on the protection of our copyright, on the negotiation of contracts and on the management of possible legal conflicts.
Likewise, production insurance is essential to protect our investment and ensure the continuity of the project. This insurance will cover us against possible unforeseen events, such as damage to equipment, production interruptions or third-party claims.
With your help, we can have the peace of mind and legal security we need to focus on what really matters: telling our story and making a positive impact.
Distribution and promotion: (50% - €5,000): It's not a big budget, but it's enough.
To generate real change, it is essential that our message reaches as many people as possible. ‘Renovables Forzosas’ not only seeks to make visible a reality that affects many Spanish communities, but also to generate a debate at the European level on the need for a fair and sustainable energy transition.
With your support, we can guarantee that our documentary reaches decision-makers by taking it to film festivals and content and TV series acquisition markets, platform programmers and buyers interested in screening our story in the rest of Europe. We also need to cover the additional cost of getting the message across to those who are directly affected by this problem or may be in the future.

Imagine a peaceful village, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, where life moves in harmony with nature. Now, imagine that overnight, massive electricity transmission towers and huge photovoltaic plants invade this landscape, forever changing the lives of its inhabitants.
This is what is happening in many villages across Spain, where renewable energy projects are being implemented without considering their social and environmental impact.
In Forced Renewables, we want to give a voice to all those affected by this situation. We aim to expose the injustices and consequences of a poorly planned energy transition. We want our society to understand that clean energy cannot be built at the cost of destroying our rural natural and cultural heritage or sacrificing local communities for the profit of a few investors.
We believe in an energy future where renewable sources form the foundation of our energy system. However, this transition must be fair and participatory. Our documentary aims to give a voice to communities affected by these projects and foster a public debate that helps build a more democratic and transparent energy model. We want to show that it is possible to balance the development of renewable energy with environmental protection and improved quality of life for people.
Behind Forced Renewables is a team of professionals passionate about telling stories that matter. At Bordonada Films, we have spent the last five years documenting realities that inspire reflection and awareness. Our experience in producing documentaries about rural life and the environment has allowed us to develop a sensitive and committed perspective on the challenges of our time.
With projects like The Landscape of the Olive Grove and Mountains in Harmony, we have demonstrated our ability to create high-quality documentaries that combine documentary rigor with powerful visual storytelling.
The documentary directly addresses the environmental impacts of poorly planned renewable energy projects, which threaten environmental protection, biodiversity, and rural landscapes. It highlights the social inequalities and injustices faced by communities affected by these projects. By helping us spread awareness about the reality faced by many rural areas, backers contribute to a just cause and support the defense of rural inhabitants' rights.
Forced Renewables is more than just a documentary—it is a call to action. By supporting this project, you will be contributing to:
-Protecting our planet – Raising awareness of the negative impacts of poorly planned renewable energy projects and promoting a more sustainable energy model.
-Defending the rights of local communities – Amplifying the voices of those affected by projects that prioritize economic interests over people's well-being.
-Building a fairer and more equitable future – Encouraging public debate to help create a more democratic and transparent energy model.
By supporting our project, you will also be contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
