A new reward level & first participant kits sent!

Thanks to all of your amazing support we made it to the second round of our crowdfunding campaign after reaching the minimum funding goal in the first round. Thank you all so much for this! 🎉🎉🎉

This means we now have until mid-May to get to the optimal funding goal. And we are only less than 2,000 € away from it!

A new backer reward level: Ally Skills Training

To help us reach the optimal funding goal we are now introducing a new backer reward level – an Ally Skills Training workshop, thanks to our friends at the Open Life Sciences mentoring & training program. Open Life Science is a program that revolves around creating healthy, friendly, caring, and inclusive communities. 🙏👏💪

As part of this they offer a training on hw to step up for others when you notice something unfair, exclusionary, or discriminatory, and if you are in a position of privilege and feel safe to speak up – a trait known as Ally Skills. On Friday, 11 June 2021, they are running a three hour long training workshop on how you can use your societal advantages to support others in your workplace and communities.

All registration fees for the Ally Skills workshop will go to our crowdfunding campaign. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈 If you want to participate in this workshop to learn some important skills and further support our campaign, check out the new 230 € backer reward that includes participation in the workshop along with all other digital rewards of our campaign!

The first participant kits are sent out

Besides the crowdfunding campaign we have made also more progress on our study itself. We already have around 45 interested participants and thanks to your contributions we have sent out the first five sampling kits to participants! 🧬🧬🧬 Which means soon we will receive the first samples back to our lab to start investigating the diversity of the neo-vaginal flora. We've decided to slowly ramp up the sample collection kit-distribution, to make sure that our collection process etc. works well before sending out the bulk of the sample kits.
